Frame still ticking along

The framework is taking longer than they anticipated, primarily due to the complicated 30 degree pitch roof. But, they are almost there and should be done this week. The safety rails for the roofing guys went up yesterday which is also a promising sign.

Oh and the garage opening is around 230mm too far to the right as they have been working off old plans. They need to move the opening and change the slab so I’ll be interested to see how they fix that. I’m sure they can, just curious on the how.

Framing progress

Still going on the frame. Weather has ranged from 43 degrees to 20 and rain. Crazy Melbourne weather. They guys have been working all the way through though so full credit to them.

Not that they have much choice. Deliveries are arriving on schedule whether the carpenters are ready on not.

Floor Plan

We love the original layout of the Vancouver 29 but needed some tweaks for us.

Some of the changes included:

  • Removing the second Walk-In Robe (WIR)
  • Added a door to the ensuite, smaller vanity, bigger shower
  • Added a nib wall to the lounge
  • Removed the support/post on the alfresco so its a corner stacker
  • Extended the alfresco
  • Squared off the return airvent for the heating
  • Lots of window changes
