Caught up with our Site Supervisor on Friday who said that the slab is still not good enough. The subcontractors Cornell Constructions (http://www.cornellconstructions.com.au/) have finally been given the sack.
The next delay will be Porter Davis finding someone to level out the slab once and for all. It’s held up the build for months now.

I’ve given up on PD. They are all rubbish. And unfortunately, we’ve paid 2k deposit and a tender deposit. We should have gone with a custom home builder. Everyone except our sales consultant is bad. Very bad. At the WOS appointment, everyone has been saying our house is a “very very big job” because we are upgrading everything.
The tender appointment is the worst. PD is basically sending us to “court”. As soon as we sat down at 9am in the morning, the tender woman started to argue with us. We didn’t even started the fight. It didn’t end until 5pm. Fcken hell. And worst of all, that woman talks like a Donald Trump. Everything is right about her even though they are wrong. And no apologies.
One of the biggest regret ever for us. I hope everything will go well with the actual build. I actually know the SS and he appears to be ok.
